I got that hair extension that Jessica Simpson is advertising. It is the clip in one.?

Can I use regular shampoo and Conditioner on it? It is synthetic hair NOT real hair? The special shapoo for it is too expensive can I just use the one i use on my own REAL hair on my head?

I would ask a hair stylist. They might sell something that is a little cheaper or if it is a clip on you might just be able to take it out for showers and then put it back in.

Yes, use a capful of your shampoo in your bathroom sink, using COOL water (heat will damage synthetic hair). Don't dunk it in and out of the water like a tea bag or swirl it excessively.... let it sit in the sudsy water for 5-10 minutes, remove, replace into a sinkful of clean water to rinse, then when you remove it, don't wring it or brush it. You'll want to gently blot the water with a clean towel, and let it air dry. Don't use a blowdryer or any heat styling tools on it, because of the heat damage. When it's dry, it's better to use your fingers to get any tangles out, instead of brushing. Also, don't brush when it's wet because the synth hair is likely to stretch and snap... of course, your real hair is likely to do this as well. ^_^ I don't know about using conditioner, or if it even needs it, but if you do wash it and dry it and find it could use it, you can certainly dampen it, use conditioner, then rinse by putting it back into the sinkful of clean water. You don't need to wash the extensions every day.... I think 1-2 times a month is fine.

It is better to use a gentle shampoo, not one prone to causing rough hair. You can go to the drugstore and get Citr鑼?Shine Color Brilliance Shampoo; Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo, for Fine Hair; Finesse Color Care Shampoo, or Enhancing Shampoo Plus Conditioner; L'Oreal Hair-Care Vive Color-Care Shampoo, for Regular Color-Treated or Highlighted Hair; or TRESemme European Natural Shampoo. All are less than $5, and are very good shampoos for your extensions and your real hair.

Also, washing it will take away any excess shininess. And if you haven't already figured this out, extensions sometimes don't look natural right out of the box on your head, so if you find this is true for you, take them to a hairstylist used to working with wigs or extensions, to have them cut to blend in with your own hair. It's also better if your own hair has layers, usually.

I put in strand-by-strand extensions myself earlier this year, and then I yanked them out, silly me, so my hair is still recovering from breakage. Clip-ins are much more gentle on hair, so I'm thinking of getting her extensions as well. I hope you like them!
