As stated above i have really long thick and curly hair %26amp; i want long thick straight hair extension's.. i was wondering how they would do them as i don't want clip in's because if i wanted to put my hair up in a pony tail you would be able to see my curly hair underneathe :S..

Would they cut off most of my hair and then sew it on :S:S:S

Or what? Lol.. i would appreciate it if someone could help me as i am hoping to have it done soon :D

Well thankx it would great if you could go into detail as I'm a bit confused

Ok here goes.....First you go to the salon and they will do a free consultation. They will attach a clip on sample to show you what it will look like. They will go over the cost. Hair is priced by the ounce. They will tell you when to come back. TAKE ADVIL BEFORE YOU GO!!!!!!

You will go in a private room b/c it is a painful long procedure. The stylist will do cornrow braids around your head. Like around not length wise. They will be very tight. Then he/she will begin to sew the extensions into the cornrows. A good stylist will pull them very tight so you won't have to come back for awhile. The only part of you hair that will not be cornrowed is going to be around the temple. (Temple to Temple around the crown) That's where your natural hair will show.

When the extensions are done they will cut your natural hair that shows to match up to your new extensions. They will then style your hair. Your natural hair will have to be flat ironed DAILY!!!! If you slack on it it will look dumb. Like a mullett from the 80's.

Some things to remember.....

1. Hair is expensive (priced by the ounce) if you want very thick hair you will pay a pretty penny.

2. You have to keep up with the extensions. But the salon products

3. Make sure to have a loop hairbrush. The salon should give you a complementary one.

And finally check into Jessica Simpson's extensions. www.hairuwear.com. These are clip ons but they are one piece and you can wear them in a pony and NO ONE can tell. I have had real and the Jessica extensions and no one knows which I have on. They are like $95.00 for the synthetic versions. While you will pay close to $1000 for the salon real extensions.

Anyway I hope I helped a little. Good luck

u should get extensions because all they would have to do is straighten ur hair and i dont think u would have to cut ur hair.

all they would do is French braid/corn roll (both are the same thing just not sure which word your familiar with) any ways they will braid your hair across the scalp most likely small braids and then sew the extensions to the braids. This is a good idea so that you don't have to worry about the damage heat does to your hair by having to straighten it. Go For the extensions
